The Saltash Methodist Circuit is a group of Methodist Churches and associated projects located on the coast and inland in South East Cornwall, at the border of Devon. The Circuit has existed for many years and has close links with our neighbouring circuits, as well as partnering with churches from other denominations, a range of charities and community groups in various parts of the area. The Circuit is led by the Superintendent, Revd Jonathan Budd, (see the Team page), along with a leadership team of lay members from our churches.

Our Mission Statement (below) sets out what we aim for.

Saltash Methodist Circuit : Mission Statement

In the communities of South East Cornwall adjacent to, and including Saltash our mission together is,

“To witness to God’s love and saving grace in Jesus Christ actively and creatively from within the distinctive traditions and priorities of the Methodist Church.”

To do this we

…follow Our Calling[1] to worship, learn, serve, care and evangelise, and welcome partnership in these things,

…support, assist and encourage the societies and local expressions of church within the Circuit in that same work as shaped by their own contexts[2], and

…seek, continually, God’s renewing in this, our shared life and work.

[2] while remaining in step with the priorities of the Circuit, and the wider Methodist Connexion.
