Ecumenical Work - To work in partnership with organisations outside the Methodist Church with whom we already have contact and to seek and enlarge their commitment through local ecumenical projects such as St Germans, Landrake, Saltash & Landulph. The churches should aim to be a catalyst for change and to use their experience to contribute to the circuit.
Worship - To ensure that the Church enjoys a richly varied pattern of worship. To seek to explore the possibilities of other forms, times and patterns of worship. To build up the spiritual life of each congregation, enabling them to express their faith and devotion to God in ways appropriate to their situation.
Encourage the young - To ensure the church is particularly attractive to families with younger children. A priority is to nurture those young people within the church as they grow into young adults.
Facing Change - Some churches are facing difficult times and times of change - it is therefore incumbent on the Circuit to support and sustain the existing members with pastoral care to enable them to grow in confidence.
Premises - There is always a continuing need to seek development of our premises to meet the ever changing needs of the Church and the community.
Strategy - To seek to grow in love for one another, caring for, encouraging and supporting one another, and selflessly meeting one another’s needs as a community of God’s people (Eph 4.1 -16 & 5.21). This sense of community will be fostered by encouraging everyone to join house groups, participate in social activities and undertake training when appropriate.
World Church - To support overseas partners and to learn from them. The learning is facilitated through a church in Zimbabwe that has a strong link with Saltash Wesley
